Kai Tak Sports Park | Sun Life Financial Presents: Sandy Lam RESONANCE World Tour
Description
In the past year, Sandy has performed a total of 34 shows for her 'RESONANCE' world tour, traveling to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Macau and more. For the 2026 'RESONANCE : Reconstructed Hong Kong Exclusive' concert, the production will be reconstructed, with a special setlist designed exclusively for Hong Kong fans.
After a nine-year hiatus from performing in Hong Kong, Sandy shares her thoughts: 'Nine years have passed by quickly. But for a singer, nine years is also enough time to experience a lot of growth and change. Hong Kong has never been just a city to me; it's the starting point of my singing career and a place deeply etched in my heart. Many songs, many first times, and many precious memories were created together with Hong Kong. This time, returning to perform in Hong Kong and stepping onto the Kai Tak Stadium stage for the first time is a most precious new beginning for me.' From her debut until now, Sandy has been singing for 40 years, growing together with her fans. She especially cherishes this, saying: 'To still be able to gather with all of you who have accompanied and supported me on the Hong Kong stage after singing for four decades, I feel that it's a rare destiny, a great blessing, and the warmest luck I've had in these forty years.'
The 'RESONANCE' world tour is centered around the three themes of 'collapse, downfall, and rebirth'. With her signature vocals, Sandy guides the audience through the different stages of her 40-year musical journey, creating a feast for the senses and emotions. For the Hong Kong stop, Sandy reveals that she will be designing a setlist primarily featuring Cantonese songs. 'The Hong Kong stop will have a different arrangement. The rundown will be reorganized according to language and emotions, and more Cantonese songs will be included. It's not just about adding songs; I want to infuse my love for Hong Kong into every melody, so that the overall rhythm and atmosphere truly belong to Hong Kong and every Hong Kong friend who listens to my songs. I've always believed that the same song should have a different temperature when sung in different places, and the Hong Kong stage will definitely be the warmest.' In addition to a setlist that's different from previous stops, adjustments will also be made in terms of production. 'Some songs will be rearranged, and some sections will be recombined because I don't want to replicate, but rather, recreate for Hong Kong. I want to use my voice to converse with Hong Kong. The stage has always been a place of sincere dialogue for me — a dialogue with Hong Kong and with each and every one of you who has walked this journey with me.'
Sandy's songs are well-known to her fans: from the early Japanese-style 'Love, I Don't Know' at the start of her career, to the 'Urban Touch' series 'Still' and 'Tilt', then evolving to showcase the artistic allure of Oriental femininity in 'Reborn Love' and 'Still Love You Without You', as well as the mature charm of 'Let's Start Over' and 'Naked Secret', and finally, returning to the industry with 'Why Did He Leave You' — countless classics that have accompanied fans through the ups and downs, joys and sorrows of life. With the concert approaching, Sandy hopes to stay true to her initial heart for singing and share her passion on stage: 'Every time I sing, I remember to remain sincere and sing with a heart full of gentleness. After so many years, it's not to prove anything, but simply to sing well, to sing for those who like me, and to sing for Hong Kong, the land that has nurtured my singing career. I cherish every opportunity to meet with Hong Kong audiences face to face and every moment I get to sing on the Hong Kong stage. If I can once again, with a calm heart, sing wholeheartedly for Hong Kong on this new Kai Tak stage and be enveloped in your warmth, that will be more than enough, and I will be truly happy.'
